Testimonials

"The mansion was a fantastic spot for my sister-in-laws bridal shower. The owner worked with us one on one to plan the party. Staff was very pleasant and did a great job with the set up and take down. Would highly recommend this venue...."

Literary Adventure

Calling all authors, bibliophiles and history lovers! The Governor Lewis Mansion is having a literary Adventure day! Come to the Mansion and be transported back to another time; a time when books and stories were the very fabric of life!

Bibliophiles: This is your chance to meet authors and get your books signed! We will update our Facebook page with authors and the date they will be at Mansion.

History Buffs: The Mansion will be open for guided tours all day, please see our tour page for tour info.

Authors: The Governor Lewis Mansion is adding to our 2017 schedule a new way for authors to present a new title or market their existing books, at the Mansion. Introduce your book to the world in this otherworldly place. The Mansion sits on 1.7 acres surrounded by historic gardens. Any author that rents a space (very nominal fee) will have time in the tent that will be set up for book introductions and readings throughout the day. Please call for more information.

May of 2016 an area author in collaboration with the Columbus public library had her book launch at the Mansion. Here is what one author had to say:
“It was the perfect summer evening for my book launch, with the orange blossoms wafting through the air, and flowers lining the walks. When I entered the tent to begin readings from my book; the Mansion staff surprised me with a gilt chair from the Mansion to sit on! It was a magical evening I will not soon forget”
