Affordable EventCome tour the Mansion and step back in time. This is the original home of Governor James Taylor Lewis, 9th Governor of Wisconsin and last Governor of the civil war. In this mansion you will see period furnishings from the governor and his family, as well as other pieces from Mansions that have long since disappeared from “Cooks Hill” in Columbus, Wisconsin. The home is listed on the National and State Historic Registers. Tours can be booked Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and sundays unless an event is scheduled.

Additional Information:
  • Parking available next to the Mansion on Charles Street
  • Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes before your tour begins
  • At this time the Mansion is not handicapped accessible
  • Tours are between 60-90 mintutes
